About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance for a major lime processing facility. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will drive plant reliability, CMMS management, shutdown planning, and asset integrity through plant commissioning, ramp-up, and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Strategy: Implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs to maximize availability and minimize lifecycle costs.
Work Management & Shutdowns: Manage CMMS data, maintenance backlogs, critical spares, and long-range shutdown execution.
Commissioning & Readiness: Oversee maintenance systems establishment, equipment testing, punch-list resolution, and initial asset handover.
Team Leadership & Projects: Direct multidisciplinary maintenance teams and contractors, manage budgets, and oversee reliability improvement projects.
Requirements
Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Reliability) OR a relevant trade qualification supported by extensive industrial leadership experience.
Experience: 10–15 years in heavy industry (lime, cement, mining, or process plants) with 3+ years in a senior maintenance leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong background in CMMS, RCA, shutdown management, and site safety protocols (LOTO/Permit-to-Work).
Environment: Experience in commissioning, start-ups, or remote industrial operations is highly desirable.
