Flight Crew Scheduling Officer H/F
We are seeking a detail-oriented, quick-thinking Flight Crew Scheduling Officer to join our Operations Control Center in the heart of the South Pacific.
Senior Flight Crew Scheduling Officer (French-Speaking)
Location: South Pacific (On-site relocation / Base options available)
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Flight Operations / Crew Network Management
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Flight Crew Scheduling Officer to manage, optimize, and oversee our regional and international crew networks across the South Pacific.
This is not an entry-level coordination role. You will handle the complex puzzle of matching pilot and cabin crew rosters against fluctuating commercial schedules, strict aviation regulations, and unpredictable tropical weather patterns. Because a significant portion of our network connects French-speaking territories, communities, and crews, native or professional fluency in French is non-negotiable.
If you are a seasoned airline operations veteran looking to bring your expertise to one of the most beautiful regions in the world, this is your next career step.
What You’ll Do
Roster Optimization: Build, publish, and maintain legally compliant, cost-effective monthly rosters for both pilots and cabin crew.
Disruption Management: Act as the primary problem-solver when weather, technical delays, or crew sickness impacts the network—rapidly re-routing and assigning crew while maintaining safety standards.
Bilingual Communication: Serve as the core point of contact for French-speaking crews and local authorities, translating operational directives seamlessly between English and French.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain absolute adherence to local Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA) guidelines, flight time limitations (FTL), fatigue risk management systems (FRMS), and complex union bargaining agreements.
Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate daily with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and Training departments to ensure mandatory crew checks, simulator sessions, and medicals are integrated cleanly into scheduling.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
Airline Industry Veteran: Minimum of 4 to 6 years of direct experience in flight crew scheduling or tracking within a commercial or regional airline.
Language Proficiency: Absolute fluency in both French and English (written and verbal). You must be capable of handling high-stress operational conversations in both languages.
Systems Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with major airline crew management software (e.g., Sabre, Jeppesen, AIMS, NetLine, or Meridien).
Regulatory Mastery: A strong working knowledge of aviation fatigue rules, duty time limitations, and international crew rest requirements.
Personal Attributes
Geographic Flexibility: A genuine desire and readiness to live and work in the South Pacific region.
Calm Under Pressure: Aviation never sleeps, and disruptions happen. You need a proven track record of making swift, analytical decisions when a schedule falls apart.
Exceptional Diplomacy: Strong interpersonal skills to manage crew preferences and fatigue complaints constructively while prioritizing operational needs.
What We Offer
Tropical Relocation Package: Full assistance with visas, flights, and initial housing allowance to ease your transition to the South Pacific.
Competitive Compensation: Tax-effective salary packages tailored to the regional base, alongside comprehensive health and life insurance.
Airline Benefits: Generous staff travel privileges (highly discounted flights for you and your immediate family) across our entire network and partner airlines.
A Unique Lifestyle: The chance to balance a high-stakes, rewarding aviation career with an unmatched island lifestyle.
