Document Controller (Lae)
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Document Control Officer is responsible for the efficient management, control, distribution, filing, and maintenance of company documents and records in accordance with established procedures, compliance requirements, and document control standards. This role ensures that all controlled documents are accurate, current, traceable, and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Records Management, or a related discipline.
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in document control and records management.
Industry Background: Experience in HSSEQ, logistics, transport, construction, mining, or similar operational industries is preferred.
Systems Proficiency: Experience working with document control systems and electronic filing platforms; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Standards & Compliance: Exposure to ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is highly advantageous.
Core Skills: * Strong document management and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of document control procedures and records management practices.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good problem-solving and process improvement skills.
Attributes: * Ability to manage confidential information with strict discretion.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive, efficient, and self-motivated.
