Mech Engineer
Seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and optimize real-world systems — from CAD to production — within a collaborative, growth‑driven team.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This role focuses on designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems for manufacturing and product development. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with CAD, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration. This position supports product lifecycle activities from concept through production and ongoing improvements.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities - Design, Analysis, and Prototyping
Develop mechanical designs, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
Perform engineering analysis including FEA, thermal, vibration, and tolerance studies to validate designs.
Create prototypes and lead physical testing to verify performance, durability, and manufacturability.
Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
Work closely with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful product integration and production readiness.
Mechanical Engineer Qualifications - Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
3+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience in product design or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and experience creating 2D/3D models and drawings.
Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) and hands-on testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, thermal management, and mechanical tolerancing.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes: injection molding, sheet metal, machining, and assembly.
Strong problem-solving abilities, documentation skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities - Project Management and Continuous Improvement
Lead technical workstreams, manage schedules, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget.
Support DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and design reviews to mitigate risks early in development.
Implement design-for-manufacturing and design-for-assembly principles to reduce cost and improve yield.
Identify opportunities for product enhancements and production process improvements.
Mechanical Engineer Tools and Technologies - CAD, Simulation, and Testing
CAD: SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
Simulation: ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL, or similar FEA/CFD tools.
Prototyping: 3D printing, CNC machining, and lab test equipment.
PLM/PDM and version control systems experience preferred.
Mechanical Engineer Benefits and Work Environment
Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
401(k) plan with employer match and paid time off.
Professional development support, tuition reimbursement, and certification opportunities.
Collaborative, inclusive workplace committed to diversity and work-life balance.
